About The Position

VeroTouch exists to change how homes are built. We are a venture-backed construction technology company reimagining residential construction by combining advanced manufacturing, robotics, and traditional building expertise. At a time when housing affordability, labor shortages, and inefficiency continue to plague our industry, VeroTouch is focused on building better, faster, and smarter. Our work sits at the intersection of construction and technology. We design and operate systems that integrate 3D printing, advanced materials, and lean production principles into real-world job sites. This is not a theoretical exercise. We are actively building homes, learning in real time, and turning those experiences into repeatable and scalable operating models. VeroTouch is early-stage, hands-on, and execution-driven. The people who thrive here are builders in every sense of the word. They take ownership, stay calm under pressure, and care deeply about outcomes. If you are excited by challenges, energized by responsibility, and motivated by the opportunity to help define the future of an industry that rarely changes, you will feel at home here. The Journeyman Carpenter is a highly skilled professional with proven production experience, responsible for executing rapid, precise, and high-quality carpentry tasks within VeroTouch’s innovative 3D-printed homebuilding process. This role emphasizes speed and efficiency in framing, finishing, and installation work on hybrid structures, while upholding strict standards for craftsmanship, code compliance, and safety. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to move quickly through repetitive, high-volume tasks with minimal supervision, contributing to accelerated project timelines in a dynamic construction environment.

Requirements

  • Education Experience, a proven work ethic, and a strong commitment to continuous learning—attributes that deliver results beyond traditional education (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive field experience in residential construction, with strong emphasis on high-production environments (e.g., volume homebuilding, repetitive framing/finishing, modular/prefab assembly, or fast-track projects).
  • Demonstrated track record of working at a high speed while delivering consistent quality and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in residential framing, finish work, and production carpentry techniques.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications quickly and accurately.
  • Exceptional efficiency with hand and power tools in high-output settings.
  • Proven adaptability to fast-evolving, technology-integrated construction workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving under time pressure, along with clear communication and collaboration skills.
  • Deep commitment to precision, craftsmanship, and superior outcomes even at accelerated paces.
  • Ability to work on active construction sites and perform standard on-site activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and move around job sites for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in residential framing, finish carpentry, or hybrid/emerging construction methods (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid framing of interior partitions, floor systems, roof components, and structural supports to integrate seamlessly with 3D-printed exterior and load-bearing elements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and install wood, metal, or composite materials efficiently, adapting to printed structure geometries while prioritizing speed without compromising accuracy.
  • Execute finish carpentry tasks—including doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and interior elements—at a high production pace, ensuring clean transitions and durable results.
  • Ensure all work complies with national and local building codes as well as VeroTouch’s internal quality and performance standards.
  • Maintain a consistently high work rate in fast-paced, production-oriented environments, completing assigned tasks ahead of schedule where possible.
  • Optimize workflows by organizing materials, tools, and sequences to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
  • Identify and implement minor process improvements to enhance speed and repeatability in carpentry operations.
  • Work in close proximity with other trades, providing quick adjustments or input on opening placements and tolerances as needed during or after printing.
  • Communicate efficiently to address any immediate conflicts between carpentry and adjacent systems.
  • Support team efforts by adapting framing or finishing details promptly when minor modifications arise.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve carpentry issues during active construction phases to maintain momentum.
  • Conduct efficient visual inspections, alignment verifications, and quality checks to ensure precision at speed.
  • Document deficiencies concisely and implement corrective actions without delay.
  • Uphold a safe work environment by proactively identifying hazards, following protocols, and mentoring junior staff on efficient yet safe practices.
  • Lead by example with disciplined, fast, clean, and safety-conscious workmanship.
  • Offer practical suggestions to refine carpentry techniques, tooling, or material handling for faster integration in printed-hybrid builds.
  • Participate in process development as new methods or materials are introduced, focusing on production scalability.

Benefits

  • 10 days of PTO (vacation and personal time).
  • Paid sick leave provided separately in accordance with Colorado law.
  • Eligibility to participate in a performance-based incentive bonus program, subject to the terms of the applicable bonus plan.
  • Eligibility for health and dental insurance, 401(k) plan, and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods (currently 90 days).
