About The Position
Banzai Builds Inc. is seeking a talented Journeyman Carpenter / Project Manager to join our team temporarily in Morro Bay/Cayucos. This role is crucial as we undertake a major update to a key project, and it provides an excellent opportunity for skilled carpenters who are also adept in project management and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This temporary position not only allows you to showcase your carpentry skills but also offers the potential for a long-term opportunity or even a partnership within our growing company. As a Journeyman Carpenter / Project Manager, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work, including framing, cabinetry, and finishing. You will engage in hands-on tasks such as demolition, cleanup, and site preparation, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications. Your project management skills will be put to the test as you read and interpret blueprints and construction plans, utilize the Critical Path Method (CPM) to manage timelines, and coordinate with subcontractors to oversee project progress. In addition to fieldwork, you will handle computer-based administrative tasks using your personal laptop or tablet. This includes managing project data, communications, and documentation, as well as drafting client communications and reports. You will also supervise and mentor lower-skilled employees and subcontractors, promoting a positive work environment and providing hands-on training to achieve high-quality results. Your organizational skills will be essential in maintaining both digital and physical project files, handling scheduling, and performing various administrative duties as needed.
