Join our team of Life Changers! UPMC is hiring a Full-time, Electrician to support the Community Osteopathic hospital in Harrisburg. Final candidate will be hired into the proper job title and pay grade based on education and experience. Pay range for this position is $22.35-$43.30 You will need to provide your own hand tools, UPMC will provide power tools and specialty tools. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Trade school or trade specific multi-discipline certificate required.
Military experience considered.
2 years' experience as an Electrician working in a healthcare or commercial building environment.
Driver's License

Responsibilities

Accountable for the safe operation and maintenance of the hospital's electrical systems and equipment including generators, fire alarm, overhead paging system and nurse call.
Inspect and test lighting, signal communication, control and power circuits and equipment.
Install new wiring and electrical machinery.
Isolate and repair/replace defective wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment.
Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
Operate and maintain switchgear and electrical machinery.
Perform all work following infection control procedures.
Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor in a daily basis.
Repair and/or install conduit, fittings, motors, generators transformers, electrical wiring and a variety of appliances and hospital equipment.
