As Joint Use & Permitting Specialist, you will coordinate with outside plant network engineering and construction partners to ensure all permits and pole applications are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. These submissions require approval from municipalities, pole owners, and other reviewing bodies to maintain IQ Fiber’s network construction schedule. You will keep detailed project plans, provide timely responses to inquiries from team members and senior leaders, and focus on tracking make-ready costs, work, timeframes, and pole release dates. This position is crucial to the successful implementation of the IQ Fiber network build. You will have extensive knowledge of outside plant network construction and an understanding of permits required for both aerial and buried cable installations. Working closely with the design team and construction partners, you'll keep fiber-optic build projects on track by managing and expediting the permit process. You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, and design staff to ensure permit applications are complete and accurate, preventing costly delays. Additionally, you will maintain a forward-looking approach, partnering with the Project Management team to forecast permitting needs 12 - 18 months ahead of construction.
