What You’ll Work On: Coordinate and oversee Mission Engineering strategies, analyses, and operational integration within the DoD acquisition portfolio, fostering alignment and synergy across the Joint Force for optimal mission outcomes. Facilitate portfolio evaluations to ascertain system operational effectiveness, evaluating procurement, supply chain, industrial base, scalability, and fielding inputs to guide investments for secure system sustainment across its lifecycle. Leverage Mission Engineering and Digital Engineering tools to bolster Capability Portfolio Management, providing insights into Programs of Records' effectiveness in executing priority Joint Mission Threads and aiding acquisition decision making. Scrutinize acquisition decision making processes, offering guidance on integrating Mission Engineering for expanded cost, schedule, performance, and mission effectiveness analyses. Champion collaboration between intelligence, engineering, and acquisition sectors to enhance threat data understanding, essential for robust and adaptable weapon system development and modernization. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in mission engineering and digital engineering
  • Experience in systems engineering, including operational concept and scenario development, functional analysis, architecture definition, interface identification and definition, modeling, simulation, analysis, and spe cia lty engineering
  • Experience in an Office of the Secretary of Defense ( OSD ) , Joint Staff, or Component headquarters staff role, including developing strategies, decision briefs, and information papers and analyzing policy and documents
  • Experience working within DoD acquisition program offices, including executing the DoD adaptive acquisition framework
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional, cross-organization team, integrating and incorporating detailed technical data from multiple team members into executive-level decision-making products and communicating the findings, insights, and recommendations to senior-level clients
  • Ability to anticipate client and stakeholder requirements, perform proactively, and work with minimum oversight
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with program management or capability portfolio management
  • Knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System ( JCIDS ) , Capabilities Gap Assessment ( CGA ) , and the Planning, Programming, Budget ing, and Execution ( PPBE ) processes
  • Ability to write and synthesize data from multiple sources into comprehensive technical documents that are easy to comprehend
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
