As a defense mission analyst, you’ll bring your vast expertise to work alongside thought leaders supporting Navy capability development. You’ll use your skills and expertise to research, develop, analyze, and produce high-priority deliverables in coordination with subject matter experts and stakeholders. You will provide operational, exercise, engagement planning, and subject matter expert support to identify and integrate joint all-domain command and control (JADC2) systems and capabilities into naval experiments and exercises. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a qualified Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) serving in operational roles such as a Strike Group JICO afloat and Fleet JICO ashore
  • Experience with operational or exercise planning, tactics, techniques, and procedures development, and Maritime Operations Center-level planning
  • Experience with Link-16, Link 22, and Joint Range Extension Application Protocol for beyond line-of-sight connectivity
  • Experience working with GCCS and C2BMC systems, utilizing technologies such as Mode 5 IFF, LMMT, and cross-domain solutions, and supporting multiple mission areas, including assured and resilient communications in support of command and control and fires, integrated air and missile defense, surface warfare, and electronic warfare
  • Knowledge of tactical data links (TDL) and multi-TDL architectures, including for theater-level management of configuration, organization, and operations
  • Knowledge of processes to develop and oversee TDL requirements, agreements, and information exchange requirements in a joint or coalition operational environment
  • Ability to develop and present briefings for senior military and civilian personnel, and contribute to written reports for decision-makers
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, including embarking on Navy ships, submarines, and aircraft
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Combatant Command or Service component staff, analyzing, planning, and managing joint TDL networks
  • Experience working at a Warfighting Development Center
  • Experience with multiple Navy warfare or mission areas
  • Knowledge of emerging operating concepts and capabilities
  • Knowledge of the Operational Level of War and Distributed Maritime Operations
  • Knowledge of JADC2 strategy
  • Master's degree
  • Completion of JT-101 Introduction of Joint Multi-TDL (MTN) Operations, JT-102 Multi-TDL Advance Joint Interoperability (MAJIC), and JT-201 Multi-TDL Planners Courses
  • JICO and JT-301 CAPSTONE – JICO Certifications
