POSITION OVERVIEW DEFTEC is actively seeking a part-time Joint Exercise SME for the G-37 Task to join our USASMDC Team at Peterson SFB, CO. This position will provide A&AS to support the USASMDC G37 Training, Readiness and Exercise Division (G37 TREX) mission. This position will support the Exercise Branch, responsible for planning, synchronizing, executing, and assessing space operations support to USNORTHCOM, USSTRATCOM, USSPACECOM, and other CCMD major exercises, experiments, and war games. This part-time role is onsite at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10 years of relevant exercise planning experience
  • Must possess strong analytical, technology, and organizational skills
  • Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail are required
  • Ability to work independently and meet communicated schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates directly with USNORTHCOM, USSPACECOM, USSTRATCOM, GCCs, ASCCs, Corps, Division, 32nd and 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Commands, 1st Space Brigade, and the 100th Ground-Based Mission Defense (GMD) to provide required space exercise support.
  • Provide expertise in planning for major supported CCMD Tier I exercises such as Vigilant Shield, Apollo Griffin, Global Lightning, the 1st Space Brigade and 100th GMD major training events, and additional Joint exercises using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process.
  • Executes exercises outlined above. This includes controlling the planned storylines and injecting the developed MSEL
  • Shall use the JMSEL tool to inject the planned events.
  • Uses the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) tool to collect Lessons Learned/After Action Review (AAR) comments from events that occurred during the exercise.
