About The Position

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey CHHA Certification – required by law to provide hands-on care.
• Completion of NJ state-approved training program: 60 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hours supervised clinical practice.
• Criminal background check clearance (mandatory for certification).
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Strong communication, reliability, and compassion.
• Physical ability to safely perform transfers and caregiving duties.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred, not required).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred for client travel).

Responsibilities

• Provide help with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Give medication reminders as directed.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or community activities.
• Observe, record, and report changes in client condition to the supervising nurse.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures consistently.
• Maintain confidentiality and dignity for all clients.
• Deliver care that aligns with our mission: Compassion in Every HeartBEAT.
• Uphold state standards and Wrapped N Love policies at all times.
