The position is responsible for directing and managing the JOEM sales team to achieve revenue and profit goals. The role involves designing and recommending sales programs and establishing both short and long-term sales strategies in North America for JOEM. The individual will provide management with key JOEM sales information and establish sales objectives for the NA JOEM team. Additionally, the role includes developing and maintaining JOEM sales forecasts for current and future years that align with the overall North American sales strategy. The responsibilities also include making sales calls on selected key accounts, focusing on both Japanese OEMs and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers. The individual will promote sales of the product line by soliciting at the Design Engineering level, particularly targeting Japanese nationals with limited English skills. Analyzing current and emerging JOEM market trends is crucial to maintain competitiveness while meeting internal sales goals. The individual will align product strategy with customer and market needs, conduct product presentations to Engineering, Purchasing, and Materials Departments, and build sales volume of existing products while searching for new opportunities utilizing textile or thermoplastic technology. Collaboration with customers and internal engineering teams is essential to recommend product enhancements or iterations that improve customer satisfaction and increase sales potential. The role requires a thorough technical understanding of the product line and process capabilities to recommend solutions to customers. Supporting the sales effort by providing samples, data, pricing, and product application information is also part of the job. The individual will participate in product/marketing strategies, trade shows, and new product development, as well as prepare and present data analysis and reporting to the sales director and management team. Communication and coordination of sales efforts with offices in Japan and cross-department communication internally with Customer Service, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance are also key responsibilities. Finally, the individual will manage, develop, and motivate the NA JOEM sales team to develop their skills to a high professional standard to achieve monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
