About The Position

We are seeking to hire a Full Time Job Support Professional for our Janitorial Crew program Pony Bird is a Not-For-Profit agency in Jefferson County that provides employment supports to individuals with disabilities. This is a direct support staff position that trains and supports individuals with disabilities working on our contracted cleaning crew so that they can develop work skills to utilize for future employment in the community. Perfect job for those who want to make a difference and/or who have cleaning experience, but will also accept the candidate who is willing to learn. STARTING PAY OF $18.50/hr to $21.50/hr PAID TRAINING GREAT BENEFITS The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday afternoon and evening hours (1:00 pm to 9:00 p.m)

Requirements

Minimum of high school diploma/GED. Any experience/education for cleaning and/or social services is helpful.
Minimum age 21 (due to Van insurance)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Reliable to work independently without direct supervision.
Ability to communicate in an effective and clear manner, both oral and written form.
Ability to primarily stand and walk for shifts.
Clean background.
Drug free work place with pre-employment and random drug screening.

Responsibilities

Train and support individuals with disabilities to complete their cleaning/janitorial job tasks.
Ensure sites are cleaned to standards.
Assist individuals to develop job readiness skills.
Communication with contacts at site.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Provide progress note documentation, both handwritten and entered on computer.
Provide transportation of individuals served to contracted sites using agency vehicles.
