About The Position

MUSC Health – Orangeburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time board certified or board eligible Anesthesiologist to join our team-based practice and care for the rapidly growing local population of Orangeburg, SC. This position will have the support of excellent local hospital staff, hospitalists, intensivists, and general surgeons. As a partner and collaborator with our academic medical center, you’ll have access to advanced technologies such as specialty and sub-specialty diagnostic support, and direct affiliation with clinical centers of excellence, all to better empower you to increase and optimize care locally.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for South Carolina licensure.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with various anesthesia techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures including major vascular, minimal obstetric, minimal pediatric, neuro, transplant, ambulatory, regional, orthopedic, and ENT anesthesia.
• Perform ultrasound-guided nerve blocks.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, hospitalists, intensivists, and general surgeons.
