The Job Placement Specialist is responsible for the provision and documentation of services in accordance with all guidelines from the Department of Human Services, and includes training of direct service staff in accordance with DHS guidelines. The Job Placement Specialist is responsible for developing placement sites for people with disabilities at community businesses and industries. These sites may be for the purposes of competitive and supported employment, on the job evaluation or training. Some limited job coaching with follow up services may be required on an as-needed basis. Duties also include assisting individuals in attaining job development goals. To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
