The role involves managing various classifications of employees and ensuring regular and reliable attendance. The candidate must possess strong knowledge of general accounting functions, GAAP, and familiarity with GASB and/or FASB standards for financial reporting. The ability to build queries/reports and analyze systems within an automated financial system is essential, with a focus on improving efficiency. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with campus personnel, the State Controller's Office, and other entities. The candidate should be able to supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of professional staff while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. The role may require occasional travel and attendance at off-site training programs, as well as the ability to work on holidays and adjust working hours as needed.
