Printing - Job Kit Runner (2nd Shift)

About The Position

Reporting to the Group Leader, the Job Kit Runner is responsible to provide a flow of Job Kits to scheduled printing presses with the use of a kanban system to ensure a constant supply of materials for production. This position is also responsible for food safety and quality procedures to ensure that the Company’s objectives for food safety and quality meet or exceed customers’ and regulatory agencies’ requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Require passing Operator Exam
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily Schedule is being followed.
  • Review the schedule and identify jobs to be run within the shift.
  • Update schedule as jobs are completed.
  • Produce labels and Job Cards for product identification purposes as per production requirements.
  • Assemble Job Kits.
  • Gather plates, inks and blankets as needed to match printed labels and Job Cards.
  • Ensure that Job Kits are delivered to the floor in a timely manner.
  • Make sure there are enough jobs on the machine to prevent interruptions to production.
  • Produce Job Kits for current shift, plus 2 hrs into the next shift to allow production flow across shift change.
  • Once jobs are complete, check and return Job Kit contents to appropriate storage location before next cycle begins.
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • With the use of Bar-Coding equipment, check to ensure Labels, Job Cards, Plates, and Printing Standards all match before delivery to the floor.
  • Conduct regular audits of Job kit contents, e.g. Pizza boxes, Plates and Printing Standards are in good working condition.
  • Communicate schedule changes with Cell Leaders and any other personnel that need to be aware of the change.
  • Communicate with Supervisor, Group Leader, Scheduler, and floor team members about any corrections that need to be made with reference to jobs/labels.
  • Treat all TEAM members according the Code of Conduct
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.
