About The Position

The Job Developer serves as the point of contact between the Workforce system programs and Employers. Provides career counseling and specialized job search assistance and job development to individual workforce system customers. The Job Developer is responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships with local employers, apprenticeship sponsors, and community organizations to create quality worksite opportunities for Work Based Learning (paid & unpaid), Community Work Experience, Summer Earn & Learn Youth program, and other internship opportunities. This role supports participants enrolled in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training (SNAP E&T), Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and Non-Custodial Parents (NCP) programs and manages a high-volume to ensure timely placement and successful engagement of the participants in work-based learning & career pathway opportunities. Key responsibilities include identifying and developing new worksites, managing current worksites, negotiating work-based learning agreements, matching participants to appropriate placements, conducting worksite orientations and monitoring visits, and ensuring compliance with program regulations and documentation requirements. The Job Developer also assists with placing participants into unsubsidized, permanent employment opportunities and works closely with employers to support retention and long-term success. This role requires maintaining high levels of accurate and timely data entry to track participant placements, worksite agreements, and program outcomes in compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements. The Job Developer collaborates closely with Career Advisors, Business Services, employers, and community partners to align participant skills with workforce needs while meeting performance benchmarks in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance with good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or undergraduate degree preferred
  • One year of related experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
