About The Position

Are you passionate about empowering young adults and creating meaningful career pathways? The CRED Job Developer supports out-of-school, unemployed, and underemployed young adults ages 18–40 by connecting them to career opportunities in the culinary and technology sectors. Participants complete a 14-week training program before being placed in structured 10-week internships, with the goal of securing permanent employment. The Job Developer builds and maintains strong relationships with participants, employers, and community stakeholders to ensure successful internship placements and long-term job outcomes. At least 75% of program participants must reside in zip codes disproportionately impacted by high rates of gun violence. The CRED initiative approaches gun violence as a public health crisis by combining short-term workforce opportunities with long-term community-based prevention strategies. A central component of this work is increasing access to career pathways and employment readiness for disconnected young adults.
