About The Position

The Job Developer at Emergence Health Network is responsible for collaborating with various providers to enhance job placements for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This role focuses on engaging employers and educating employment specialists and treatment teams to support individuals seeking competitive employment, particularly those with a history of receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT) or co-occurring mental illnesses. The position operates under general supervision, employing job development principles to assist clients in achieving their employment goals.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Health or Human Services, Social Services, Rehabilitation, Emergency Management or related field.
• Two years of experience as a chemical dependency or mental health counselor or closely related field.
• Experience with trauma-informed services.
• Valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to individuals using the IPS model.
• Responsible for the provision of individualized assistance to each person in choosing and obtaining employment in integrated work sites in regular community jobs.
• Collaborate with SUD and MAT providers to identify individuals with a history of opioid use disorders (OUDs) or co-occurring mental illnesses.
• Implement SE and IPS job development strategies.
• Provide individual support based on each person's preferences, strengths, work history, and current living situation.
• Address specific steps in the job search process, including searching for job leads and completing job applications.
• Complete career profiles with clients and provide referrals to potential job leads.
• Participate in community engagement to foster relationships with potential employers.
• Facilitate exploration of job opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
