About The Position

The Job Developer Specialist at SEEC is responsible for cultivating relationships with employers to create job opportunities that align with the interests and skills of individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves providing support during the job search process, including soft-skill training, job coaching, and retention strategies, with the ultimate goal of helping individuals secure competitive employment and improve their quality of life through community integration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Business Development, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in job development, recruiting, or job placement is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting adults with developmental disabilities or other vulnerable populations is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

  • Experience in community outreach and employer engagement.
  • Knowledge of local job market trends and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with employers to determine their potential needs and develop job opportunities that match the interests and skills of job seekers.
  • Provide soft-skill training and support during the onboarding process for job seekers.
  • Assist with job retention strategies to ensure long-term employment success.
  • Create and utilize the Positive Personal Profile (PPP) to outline job seekers' abilities and competencies.
  • Develop individualized employment plans that include career goals, action steps, and support needs.
  • Align job seeker profiles with potential job openings by assessing compatibility and finding suitable positions.
  • Utilize warm leads and networking to discover job opportunities and gather insights on potential employers.
  • Ensure a high success rate in placing individuals into employment within a specified timeframe.
  • Monitor job seekers' agreed-upon goals and document progress in SEEC's database.
  • Implement job seekers' behavioral plans as required.
