Position: Job Developer/Job Coach Function: Supports adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) enrolled in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) with engagement in employment in fidelity to the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. At least 65% of the work week is spent in the field in the community. Reports to: ACT Team Leader Deployed to: Bronx ACT Team Schedule: Mondays-Fridays (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm) Tasks: Provides employment readiness needs assessments and develops individualized plans congruent with participant needs, preferences, goals and readiness Conducts rapid job search for participants Carries out systemic job development and partnering with employers in the community Develops employment opportunities for participants by establishing linkages and relationships with potential employers in the community Provides ongoing support and coaching to assist participants engaged in employment or employment readiness activities to improve behaviors, interpersonal skills, and work ethics necessary to maintain employment Works with employers to facilitate reasonable accommodation for participants according to participant need Assists individuals in understanding and managing changes to their benefits and entitlements based on their employment income Assures monitoring and documentation of participant progress by developing and maintaining tracking and progress reports Enters data into the NY Employment Services System (NYESS) and Child and Adult Integrated Reporting System (CAIRS) Attends training as assigned including participation in trainings and technical assistance related to IPS Actively participates in the Center for Practice Innovations IPS Learning Collaborative Collaborates as an active member of the ACT team in promoting employment related goals and objectives for participants Duties as assigned by supervisor ACMH is committed to the mental and physical wellbeing of vulnerable New Yorkers and is a leader in the provision of outreach and engagement, care management, rehabilitation, crisis support, and supportive housing.
