This role is responsible for establishing a new cost control and scheduling system to ensure that each home is built within budget and delivered on time and contribute to the success of the operation. Primary Responsibilities: Support the home building group in analyzing and controlling construction costs and profits for all homes within the operation. Help set up and manage a new cost control system that effectively and accurately measures costs and production variances and allows for accurate projections of operating results. Work with corporate peers to drive continuous improvement of costs, processes, systems, and ensure consistency of costing methods across the company. Initiate agreements and negotiations with sub-contractors and suppliers that will maximize value, quality and delivery to KCH and our home-buyer. Update and maintain pricing and cost information for all active and future homes/projects. Project costs for new home designs and product offerings as part of the overall business plan. Review plans for standardization of components, options, and construction methods. Establish and maintain an effective and accurate scheduling module. Willing to help in the field as required and don’t mind getting your hands dirty.
