Summary: The Job Coach is a member of the vocational rehabilitation team and is responsible for working 1:1 or in a small group setting of 3.5:1 assisting and supporting while the trainee(s) enhances workskills. The Job Coach reports directly to the Program Director.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Work experience in a bakery or in food service
• A minimum of six months experience working with individuals with mental health and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the trainee(s) work performance.
• Collaborate, cooperate, and participate in team/rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist and support trainee(s) in learning task procedures within the Bakery.
• Assist trainee(s) with enhancing program, food, and work safety practices/policies.
• Assist trainee(s) in building appropriate interpersonal skills.
• Complete all assigned trainings, review email regularly/when scheduled, and complete daily work notes.
• Willingness to learn and model the five principles of trauma informed care; safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment.
• Commitment to promote cultural, racial, language and gender access, diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Knowledge of proper workplace etiquette.
• Ability to document trainees performance.
• Ability to work as an advocate.
