About The Position

The job coach will provide support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and other barriers to employment. The job coach will work together with the Funded Services Contract Case Manager to provide services and supports in Allegany, Washington and Garret County with State funding entities; Department of Rehabilitation Service, Developmental Disabilities Administration and HGI Temp Labor Contracts. Essential Functions: Performs jobsite observation, skill assessment and evaluation of recipients service needs. Develop and implement job training and accommodations for service recipients in community placements. Develop and implement strategies to promote natural supports and independence in work- and work-related activities. Report serious issues to Associate Director of Workforce Development for disciplinary, outside agency contact or other action. Assist in the coordination of transportation services to individuals by scheduling, referring, to community supports, and assists in travel training as needed for the individual. Attend individuals who are funded through the Developmental Disabilities Administration Annual Person-Centered Planning meetings as needed. Document interactions and work stie based progress of clients. Follow up with individual and Employers to ensure clients are performing job duties as required. Assist client with obtaining monthly timesheets and required signatures from supervisor. Complete required documentation related to recipients progress, case management needs and billing. Maintain knowledge and follow policies and procedures of Horizon Goodwill Industries, funding sources, and licensing agencies. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus one-year relevant human services experience required.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire screenings such as background or drug screenings.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
