About the position
The position involves assisting clients with job-related tasks at their worksite, overseeing job completion while working with multiple clients throughout the shift. The role requires implementing knowledge and modeling job-related skills to foster independence, which may include interpersonal skills and employment skills such as basic job tasks and self-direction, with a focus on safety.
Responsibilities
- Guide and assist client at job site in completing job-related tasks to increase independence.
- Mentor by aiding and providing tools for the development of motivation and self-direction.
- Maintain positive communication between the client, office staff, and the store manager.
- Complete daily documentation of client progress on their goals.
- Advise on workplace accommodations to ensure that client can meet job requirements.
- Effective time management to fit multiple clients within daily shifts.
- Manage client behavior by applying effective de-escalation techniques to encourage utilizing their coping skills.
- Represent Shine Bright Care through positive interactions with customers, other employees, and management.
- Maintain confidentiality of clients, taking precautions to adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize teaching techniques, promote work conducive to learning by utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to meet clients’ needs.
- Promote a safe work environment and the safety of clients.
- Perform all other skills as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Experience preferred but willing to train eager-to-learn candidate.
