Primary Function: Responsible for the Job Development and Job Placement of the clients referred by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) for placement in the community. Hours: Monday through Friday (8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.), 35 hours a week. Performance Responsibilities: Although each position has its own unique duties and responsibilities, the following listing applies to every employee of North Jersey Friendship House, Inc.: Works towards the accomplishment of department/agency goals Maintains confidentiality and immediately reports to management breaches in confidentiality Practices job requirements on an accurate, timely and regular basis Observes and maintains appropriate professional boundaries with members, co-workers and supervisors Attends all scheduled meetings assigned Meets relevant continuing educational/training requirements Completes all required documentation/paperwork accurately and within established time frames. Essential Functions: Train new clients referred to our Supported Employment (SE), Independent Employment (IE), or Job Coaching (JC) programs. Complete state required documentation timely in electronic health record. Follow all guidelines for Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and/or Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) referrals as assigned. Cultivate new employer partners for job placements. Take clients on job interviews-assist with applications/interviews, explore transportation, travel train when needed. Maintain contact with referral sources re: updates. Attend conferences, as assigned, to learn updated laws/regulations and best practices for successful job placements and supports. Complete all initial and annual trainings, as required, by the agency. Occasional weekend coverage may be required. Other duties as assigned by Employment Supervisor and/or Executive Director of Day and Community Services.
