The Administrative Office of the Courts seeks a detail-oriented individual to perform high-level administrative duties for the Commissions on Appellate and Trial Court Appointments (JNC) and Judicial Performance Review (JPR), as assigned by the JNC/JPR Program Manager. The main responsibilities of the position include oversight of the process involved in nominating applicants for judicial office and the process of reviewing the performance of judges that are appointed under merit selection; coordinating meetings, drafting minutes, and policies and procedures adopted by the Commissions. This position also assists in coordinating the JPR Conference Team process, administers the annual process for the appointment of judges pro tempore, as well as prepares individual pro tempore administrative orders, and conducts background checks on JNC applicants. Additional functions include recruiting, screening, and coordinating the appointment of volunteers to serve on Supreme Court committees and commissions. Other responsibilities include program planning, project management, monitoring, and evaluation; data analysis, public information activities, including website design and maintenance; policy development and maintenance; and developing and conducting training of volunteers. Also, working with the State Bar of Arizona to research and draft disciplinary histories for judicial applicants, and attorneys serving as judge pro tempore or volunteering for supreme court committees. This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.
