About the job: The JMP Global Events Production and Design team’s goal is to create and support customer events and messaging to celebrate and expand the use of JMP statistical software around the world. We achieve this by designing large event environments and experiential live event technical production in a way that showcases and elevates the JMP message to our attendees. Production and Design team supports both internal and external messaging for JMP Executive Leadership. Additionally, we develop, design and oversee branding, video production, and signage for several JMP events such as webcasts, social media, and JMP community channels. We also operate the JMP Studio at the Cary, North Carolina headquarters where executive video messaging is recorded, edited, and encoded for external broadcast The successful intern candidate will have a role in live event production, event brand design and execution, studio recording, video editing, 3D motion graphic development, and still graphic work along with off-site live event planning. The Global Events Production and Design team has significant impact on how our customers visualize the JMP brand in the marketplace and how they experience the JMP core philosophy of customer-first approach to all things JMP.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop, plan, and execute ideas for visual presentation and display.
  • Genuine interest working in live events and experiential event design.
  • Familiarity with basic production elements such as video display technology, audio recording, visualization, stage and production management.
  • Interest in problem solving challenges inherent in live events and recorded broadcast.
  • Working knowledge of video display systems, stage or live event production management, PowerPoint, video editing tools, and graphic design products.
  • Strong communication and organization skills along with understanding team dynamics.
  • You’re an undergraduate college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2026.
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

  • Preferred areas of study in live event or theatrical production and design industry.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a global event planning team.
  • Develop or design corporate video assets.
  • Be involved in video recording sessions in the JMP Studio.
  • Work on one or more external JMP marketing broadcast programs.
