HII's Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Red Forces IADS/SAM Operator to join the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), located at Nellis Air Force Base, NV. This position plays a crucial role in accurately representing and operating threat Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAMs) and Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) during training missions. The operator will be responsible for coordinating SAM engagements at various levels, including single SAM, Battery, or SABOC, to meet mission test and training objectives. Effective communication and coordination with the Red Czar, Control Room Coordinator, and White Force Coordinator are essential during the execution and operation phases. The operator will utilize consoles to provide a realistic representation of SAMs and IADS, orchestrating and operating constructive representations of red forces for test and training missions. This includes supporting the development and coordination of JITTC-N training by providing subject matter expertise in IADS/SAM during the planning and execution of training exercises. The operator will also provide feedback and assist in creating and modifying mission-planning materials to ensure that participants achieve maximum training effectiveness. Additionally, the role involves reporting issues related to stimulation software applications and providing basic troubleshooting support. Essential responsibilities include maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network administrators, setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space. The operator will interact with users, evaluate vendor products, make recommendations for hardware and software purchases, coordinate installations, and provide backup recovery. Furthermore, the operator will develop and monitor policies and standards for the allocation of computing resources.
