The Jira Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, administration, optimization, and governance of Jira and related Atlassian tools in support of enterprise IT operations. This role ensures system integrity, data accuracy, reporting transparency, and alignment with Agile SAFe methodology while supporting a distributed user base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering Jira in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting large, distributed user populations (500+ users preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including SAFe.
  • Experience configuring workflows, boards, permissions, automation rules, and JQL.
  • Experience with Jira Align implementation or administration.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust.

Nice To Haves

  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-120, ACP-620).
  • Experience integrating Jira with other enterprise systems.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools to enhance reporting and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Jira and related Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira Align) supporting 500+ remote users.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions across groups to ensure compliance with security and governance requirements.
  • Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, fields, and automation rules.
  • Establish and manage Kanban and Scrum boards, sprint configurations, and production tracking structures to improve transparency and delivery performance.
  • Support and help coordinate the transition and alignment to Agile SAFe methodology utilizing Jira Align.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of databases used for process tracking and metrics reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards using automated scripts to visualize operational and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with team leads and executive leadership to support reporting needs and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Provide regular training and user support on JQL queries, custom workflows, issue creation, automation, and system best practices.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform upgrades, and implement enhancements to improve functionality and user experience
  • Maintain system documentation, governance standards, and configuration controls.
