About The Position

This position requires a person capable of operating a wide range of metalworking equipment, welding, reading and interpreting blueprints. This position's primary responsibility will be for the repair, replacement, and maintenance of all galvanizer hanging brackets and equipment associated with this task. This positions secondary responsibility will be for the repair, maintenance, and building welding jigs and fixturing for all departments and business units.

Requirements

Forklift license required
Must be able to lift 60 lbs. 25% of the time
Able to work well with other people and be self-motivated to begin and complete projects.
Must be able to pass respiratory clearance

Classes related to Tool & Die considered a plus

Responsibilities

Practice safe working habits and follow safety procedures, policy, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality and ISO 9001:2008.
Use and interpret three-dimensional views of drawings and assembly prints.
GMAW welding, flame cutting, plasma cutting, sawing, drilling, forming, etc.
Working knowledge of hand tools, weld fixtures, large power tools, die grinders, sanders, etc.
Must be able to use measuring instruments to compare products and fixturing to drawings.
Responsible for the safety and training of others.
Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and the employee handbook.
Responsible for the quality of the finished product.
Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping.
Responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision.
Responsible for any other tasks assigned by the Team Leader.
