Responsibilities include any assignment areas deemed necessary by the supervisor .i.e., aquatics, fitness, gym, childcare, front desk, building and grounds, general facility maintenance, and food court. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for day-to-day activities in the food court when it is open (Memorial Day – Labor Day). · Orders, stocks, cooks, and serves in the food court as needed. · Handles the cash drawer. · Cleans the food court as needed. · Will serve as Bldg and Grounds worker when the food court is closed. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · Eight grade education and one year of experience in fitness-related work. · Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s license. · Must pass a drug screen and physical exam. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries. Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Ability to read and understand general business periodicals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts as necessary. REQUIRED KNOWLDEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES · Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methods of wellness programming. · Knowledge of organizations, planning, scheduling, management, and techniques of fitness promotion and implementation with diverse groups. · Knowledge of the services rendered by other public and voluntary agencies in the community, with an emphasis on recreation and related services. Good supervisory skills and public relations skills. · Ability to work with others and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments. · Knowledge of the principals and practices of health promotion. · Ability to deal with the general public, supervisors, and associates in an effective and pleasing manner. · Ability to employ problem-solving skills in resolving facility operation situations that might arise. · Ability to appear on time for work and notify the appropriate individual if unable to work. · Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with employees and the public. · Ability to organize work in detail and communicate in a clear, concise, and convincing manner.
