The position serves as the primary supervisor for a Fred Meyer Jewelers location, focusing on maximizing financial performance, achieving sales targets, and managing the sales team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Fred Meyer Jewelers assistant manager.
  • 2 years of retail jewelry experience or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer Jewelers policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, First Place, Act, and intranet/internet systems.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and projects.
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
  • Completion of Diamond Council of America (DCA) courses within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize financial performance of the store and achieve growth and sales targets.
  • Manage, train, and motivate the sales team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Create emotional connections with customers during shopping occasions in-store and online.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings and weekly touch bases with associates.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews and providing feedback.
  • Coordinate operations functions of the location and plan inventory processes.
  • Display merchandise and promotional materials according to corporate plans.
  • Write store schedules to meet business needs.
  • Verify service delivery by goldsmith and watchmaker, and ensure price changes and stock balances are up-to-date.
  • Communicate market trends and competitor activities to associates.
  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift and holidays.
