The associate adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and is cross-trained in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.

  • Promoting TJX Rewards credit and loyalty programs
  • Supporting and responding to Front End coverage as well as Dressing Room and Jewelry needs
  • Upholding a culture of honesty, integrity, and respect
  • Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates
  • Accepting recognition and constructive feedback
  • Adhering to labor laws and Associate meal and break period policies
  • Maintaining organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for sales floor
  • Participating in maintenance/cleanliness of entire store, e.g. Single Queue, Associate Lounge
  • Maintaining floor care cleanliness standards including maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer
  • Processing and prepping merchandise for sales floor following Door to Floor and Working Smart principles
  • Adhering to Front End policy and procedures including ringing sequence and operational controls (RIL, Voids, Refunds, etc.)
  • Balancing register draws and or cash office as required
  • Ensuring ‘go backs’ are properly tagged/hung and promptly returned to the sales floor
  • Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy
  • Adhering and upholding merchandise and signage standards
  • Partnering with Merchandise Coordinator to create and maintain compelling features, flexing the sales floor as needed
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
  • Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed
  • Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
  • Adhering to operational and loss prevention controls according to company guidelines and policies
  • Identifying and communicating alert signals and potential safety issues immediately to management/loss prevention to ensure a safe environment
  • Not engaging in pursuit or apprehension of shoplifters
  • Other duties as assigned
