About The Position

Work Shift: Third Shift - Somersworth (United States of America) Work Shift Time: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Objective: Safely operate dye jets for wide or narrow goods, mix dye formulas, maintain quality standards and keep work area clean and orderly. Accurately complete necessary paperwork. Follow Standard Operating Procedures. Perform dye kettle procedures for wide goods on as needed basis. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor. Essential Job Functions: Follow prescribed rules and safety regulations. Set up and run orders in order according to dispatch report or as directed by supervisor/manager. Accurately complete all necessary paperwork for each dye lot in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures including entering formulas and procedures into the DyePro system. Weigh dyes and chemicals and add to proper machine according to formula and Standard Operating Procedures. Report scrap to supervisor/managers as it occurs. Load and unload material from woven and knit dyeing sides. Keep a clean and organized work area. Complete inventory transactions timely and accurately in Oracle system . Enter work orders for machine malfunctions and mechanical failures. Full time presence required Ability and willingness to work overtime as required or requested, including extended shifts and weekends Excellent attendance is required Ability to work well with others in a team environment Any other duties requested by Supervisor/Manager. Requirements

  • Ability to be certified to complete lockout/tagout operations
  • Powered industrial truck certification is required
  • Ability to complete Hazardous Communications training and thoroughly understand proper handling of chemicals
  • Proficiency in basic math
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions
  • Ability to complete basic paperwork and data entry
  • Good vision and color vision
  • Three to six months of experience operating basic machinery
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Ability to self pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation
  • Full time presence required
  • Excellent attendance is required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous textile/dyeing experience is a plus
