About The Position

As the Jet Captain, you will provide safe and efficient passenger travel domestically and internationally on the Gulfstream IV corporate jet. You will possess a strong commitment to safety, precision, and exceptional customer service while operating the aircraft, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our executives, company officials and customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the company aircraft is operated in accordance with regulatory requirements, and that all operational related safety management goals are met. Position requires strong communication skills, flexible work schedule, the ability to travel and conduct oneself in a professional and respectful manner.

Requirements

  • FAA Air Transport Pilot License and is type-rated in the specific aircraft in which he or she is to act as Captain
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate issued within the proceeding twelve (12) calendar months.
  • Valid FCC Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • 5,000 hours total flight time.
  • 2,000 hours flight time as Pilot-in-Command.
  • 1,000 hours multiengine jet flight time.
  • 500 hours multiengine jet flight time within the last two years.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the Department Policies and Procedures Manual, Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), and other directives applicable to the aviation environment.
  • Strong listening and problem solving skills

  • Able to act under pressure, and can be adaptable to change on a constant basis
  • Flexible, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic, rapid paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • The Aircraft Captain will bear full responsibility for the safe and secure operation of company aircraft (Gulfstream IV), passengers, and crew members
  • Conduct aircraft pre- and post-flight operations to include but not limited to aircraft weight and balance, daily aircraft performance charts (APG) and aircraft limitations
  • Performs flight planning, considering factors such as altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight, cruise control data, airport facilities, navigational aids and fuel requirements.
  • Briefs flight crew members on flight plan details and weather conditions.
  • Meet all international, federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies, and ensure flight crews meet established levels of compliance
  • Supervise crew members and coordinate trip details with passengers, while retaining final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Ensures the aircraft is cleaned, stocked, and prepared for flights with all provisions onboard for the safety and comfort of passengers.
  • Ensures required certificates and manuals are onboard the aircraft prior to commencing a flight.
  • Employs strong communication and interpersonal skills utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills in all phases of aircraft operation
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and adheres to the Aviation Department Policies and Procedures Manual and CFRs.
  • Assists loading and unloading of baggage and provides passenger needs, as required.
  • Performs the duties of Second-in-Command, when scheduled.
  • Attend regularly scheduled ground and simulator training, demonstrating flight proficiency and knowledge of domestic and international flight operations, regulations, and aircraft systems.
  • Take action on and distribute, accident, incident, other occurrence reports, as well as flight crew reports
  • Receive and take action with respect to any aeronautical information affecting the safety of flight
  • Maintain a professional appearance and act with tact and decorum.
  • Assists in administrative activities as assigned by management.
