About The Position

This position involves assisting in the training of new employees and maintaining necessary training records and documentation. The lead person is responsible for learning all graded positions within the department and working closely with new employees to develop specific skills required for these positions. The role emphasizes exemplary work behavior, including attendance, safety, and personal hygiene, and involves administering directions for the proper care and use of personal protective equipment. Additionally, the position requires providing instructions on HACCP, SSOP, and department rules, as well as communicating employee progress to the supervisor. The lead person may also perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as required by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to do or learn all jobs in the department
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of department products
  • Material Handling license required, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Experience or ability to learn shop floor and data entry positions
  • No performance work actions in the last 6 months
  • No attendance work actions in the last 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training experience, First Aid/CPR certified
  • Actively involved in a department safety and/or quality committee
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and public speaking ability
  • Working knowledge of all scale Operator and line jobs
  • Prior RTE experience
  • Trained in RTE Food Safety Training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
