WCAC’s Job & Education Center (JEC) offers alternative individualized education pathways for young people outside traditional school environment, with the intention of instilling the values of lifelong learners and providing career pathway exploration, connections to post-secondary and certificate training programs leading to employment opportunities. The JEC Grant Analyst will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations within the Job & Education Center (JEC). Their responsibilities include managing budgets, approving expenditures and ensuring accurate receivables. The Grants Analyst will produce monthly financial reports, analyze results, and meet regularly with JEC managers to review financial performance. This position requires budget management, grants management and financial reporting skills. The successful candidate is expected to develop comprehensive knowledge and understanding of how all the JEC grants combine to support the Department operations as well as the ability to analyze receivables and to ensure timely payment of invoices. May assist in general accounting operations as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business with 5-7 years relevant business and accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze financial processes and systems.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Abila MIP and other accounting software desired as well as a working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with WCAC staff and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of government grant/contract compliance requirements.
  • Ability to train and assist agency finance and program staff as needed in finance policy and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of foundation and private grant procedures and requirements preferred.
  • Understanding of Accounts Receivable and other accounting operations preferred.
