We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented JD Edwards (JDE) Senior Systems Specialist to support and optimize our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This role will serve as a strategic partner between business teams and IT, leveraging JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) to analyze needs, design solutions, and deliver functional improvements across key business areas such as Supply Chain, Distribution, and Manufacturing. As a senior member of the team, you will provide primary support for designated JDE functions, while also acting as backup for other ERP professionals. You will lead discussions with stakeholders in Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, and Supply Chain to scope projects, enhancements, and break-fix needs—then drive the process through design, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience as a JD Edwards Enterprise One Business Analyst.
  • Hands-on experience with JD Edwards Orchestrator, including designing, deploying, and maintaining orchestrations to automate and streamline business processes.
  • Familiarity with Orchestrator components such as service requests, cross-references, rules, and notifications.
  • Experience integrating JDE with external systems using REST APIs and Orchestrator tools.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Sales Orders, Procurement, Inventory, Address Book, Item Master.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to write clear business and functional requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with JDE toolsets (OMW, UDOs, RDA, FDA) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ReportsNow desirable.
  • JD Edwards certification(s).
  • Experience leading ERP implementation or upgrade projects.
  • Background in manufacturing industries.
  • Bachelor of Science degree.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne modules including: Distribution: Sales Order, Purchase Order, Inventory Management, Shipping, Transportation Manufacturing: PDM, Maintenance, Work Order, MRP
  • Partner with 3rd-party teams (example Salesforce, 3PL partner) to support integration projects and issue resolution.
  • Analyze business processes, gather requirements, and recommend JDE solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Configure, test, and deploy enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality in JDE—while promoting IT standardization.
  • Develop functional specifications for custom applications and collaborate with technical teams to deliver solutions.
  • Support end-users with troubleshooting, training, and daily operational needs.
  • Lead and contribute to JDE implementation and upgrade initiatives.
  • Create and maintain documentation: process flows, training materials, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to ensure successful ERP project delivery.
  • Participate in IT strategy and annual planning for assigned functional areas.
  • Evaluate new JDE functionality (e.g., Orchestrations) and provide recommendations for adoption.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
  • Maintain system performance, ensure data integrity, and enforce compliance with company policies.
  • Support related applications that integrate with JDE, such as DSI, EDI, and compliance systems.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, technical partners, and consultants.
  • Stay current with JDE technology, attending webinars and conferences to identify opportunities for improvement.
