About The Position

Akkodis is seeking a Java Technical Lead for a Contract with a client in Oaks, PA. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of high-performance Java applications while mentoring junior developers and ensuring compliance with project standards. Rate Range: $56/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development and related technologies.
Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka with experience in building scalable applications.
Expertise in frameworks like Struts/Spring MVC and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-performance Java applications and microservices.
Collaborate with Product Owners, testers, and developers to define requirements and task out user stories.
Write clean, efficient code and perform unit testing and automated acceptance testing.
Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with project lifecycle methodology and coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while mentoring and guiding junior developers.
Coordinate integration of user interfaces and backend components for scalable, low-latency solutions.
