About The Position

In-Depth seeks a talented and organized Java software engineer to join our team. You’ll take part in the full development cycle – designing, building, integrating and testing software features. Our team values collaboration, practical problem-solving and delivering reliable software solutions in an Agile environment.

In-Depth Engineering is executing several engineering programs to support our war-fighters within the United States Navy. Our product, Multi-Layer Geographic (MLG) Display interposes tactical information from numerous onboard/offboard sensors (e.g. sonar, radar) with underlying geographical/cartographical information. Displaying the relationship of tactical and geospatial information contributes to the user’s situational awareness, enhancing their decision-making ability in the field.

Requirements

• U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance
• BS in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented design paradigms
• 0-2 years of experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Linux command line
• Experience with OpenGL or other graphics libraries
• Experience with version control systems (Accurev, Git, etc.)
• Familiarity with Swing
