The Motorola Solutions Command Central Video Services team is responsible for the architecture, design, and development of cloud-based Video Management Solutions servicing Public Safety and Enterprise Customers. Motorola Solutions designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems. We are seeking an entry-level Software Engineer who will be a part of a highly collaborative team working on mobile and fixed video solutions. Our products allow customers to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments. We are looking for world-class innovative and motivated engineers interested in building software and systems that truly make a difference.

  • Gain hands-on experience by developing and deploying microservices that support the core functions of the cloud SOC, including AI-based video analytics, media management , and data pipelines for incident correlation
  • Contribute to code reviews and team discussions, clearly articulating ideas and asking clarifying questions.
  • Actively participate in remote collaboration with global engineering teams, practicing effective communication and time management.
  • Demonstrate a self-driven attitude, taking ownership of assigned tasks and showing a willingness to learn and innovate.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with systems-level programming languages such as Java or C/C++ , and a keen interest in writing efficient, high-performance code
  • Academic or project-based exposure to areas like multimedia processing, real-time audio/video streaming , or recorded media playback.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot, debug, and triage issues, showing a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Understanding of fundamental software development principles and methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of or interest in learning about CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Coursework or hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
