These integrated solutions drive mission success, close the Kill Chain, and ensure operational superiority. We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our growing team! This position is remote within the United States and offers flexibility in work location. However, the role requires up to 25% travel, which may include site visits, client meetings, team offsites, or industry events. Travel will be scheduled as needed based on project demands and business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong programming skills in Java (preferred), C#, or Python
  • Demonstrated coding or software development experience through internships, academic projects, or professional work
  • Experience driving technical decisions, including problem breakdown, solution identification, and effective communication with engineering teams
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in writing clean, well-documented, and well-tested code using industry best practices
  • Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their practical applications
  • Experience with production-quality coding standards and design patterns
  • Passion for developing customer-focused solutions
  • Experience with container-based solutions (e.g., Docker, containerd, or Podman)
  • Experience with microservices and/or distributed computing development
  • GUI development experience (Java Swing, JavaFX) and RESTful API design (JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or ReactJS)
  • Experience with NASA World Wind Java, RaptorX, and/or TAK is a plus
  • Foundational knowledge of Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Electronic Attack (EA), and related platforms and capabilities
  • Experience in RF, EW, SIGINT/ELINT, or Strike domains is a plus
  • Former Military or Intelligence Community (IC) experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Identifying and resolving software defects and performance issues
  • Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to standards
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of software development processes and practices
  • Creating technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies
