About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled backend developer with 8 years of hands-on experience in backend technologies, including Java Spring Boot, Node.js, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs and microservices, while ensuring optimal performance and security across our systems.

Requirements

• 8 years of hands-on experience in backend technologies, including Java Spring Boot, Node.js, and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Knowledge of security practices related to authentication and authorization.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing backend services.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot and Node.js (Express.js/NestJS).
• Architect and optimize database solutions for relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) systems to ensure performance and data integrity.
• Implement robust security practices, including authentication, authorization, and secure data handling across services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless development and delivery workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and best engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize backend services for stability.
• Participate in code reviews and mentorship, sharing best practices and guiding junior team members toward high-quality outcomes.
• Contribute to architecture and technology decisions, working as a team player with strong communication skills in a Phoenix-based collaborative environment.
