About The Position

We’re seeking for a senior developer, Client Onboarding and Regulatory Platform, you'll be involved in detailed technical design, development and implementation of applications using emerging technology choices. WM_Technology Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team. MS at Work Tech Operations Technology is responsible for building and operating the technology platform catering to critical business processes at Morgan Stanley including Settlements, Confirmations, Regulatory Reporting, Position Keeping, Corporate Actions processing and other post-trade functions. The Firm operates at scale with up to 60 million trades processed on peak volume days and several trillion dollars of daily settlements with activity ongoing in multiple countries and currencies across the globe. There is a great breadth of financial products that our Operations plant handles across equity and fixed income, from cash products to complex derivatives and loans. Software Engineering This is a senior developer position for Onboarding and Regulatory platform. You are required to be a technologist with solid command on distributed development tools and tech-stack - primarily Java and Java based web-development, angular, databases, frameworks for enterprise system development, enterprise integration patterns, cloud focused architecture and tools. Requirements

At least 6 Years of experience in role related domain knowledge.
Bachelor’s degree (pref. Computer Science or related degree) or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in Java with React
Highly self-motivated, with the ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance, and to learn
independently
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills in working in a cross-functional team comprised of
Product Analysts, QA, UAT, Development and PMO members
Ability to juggle tasks and priorities to meet rapidly changing deadlines
Must work with System Architects to review/approve program and subsystem designs
React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Bootstrap/Tailwind), Responsive Design
Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Advanced Java Concepts
Data Structures & Algorithms, API/API Design
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows distributed computing
Java IDE (preferably IntelliJ IDEA)
JDBC and JPA/Hibernate
Relational DB principles using Structured Query Language (SQL)
Agile/Scrum methodologies

Responsibilities

Collaborates with Systems Architects, Software Team Leads and other Software Developers to design, develop and deploy technical solutions.
Analyses complex information, designs, develops and troubleshoots database applications
Reviews functional requirements and prepares and documents technical program, subsystem and system designs and solutions and their associated project task descriptions and effort estimates
Uses both industry-standards and company's existing systems architecture, design techniques and development standards and reviews new work with others to ensure it complies with industry and company standards.
Documents technical requirements, program and subsystem designs, project task descriptions, effort estimates, and unit and integration tests
Performs new development, maintenance fixes and enhancements to meet business requirements
Assists other teams to troubleshoot application issues in production, quality assurance and other environments
Develops, reviews, refines, uses and documents plans for both automated and manual unit and integration tests and/or assures unit and integration tests are successfully completed prior to production
Tests programs for integration prior to production
Mentors other software developers and IT staff members
Documents resolutions to system problems
Documents design for system requirements
