About the position
The Java/Angular Developer position at VDOT is focused on developing and maintaining web-based software applications. The role requires a strong background in Java and Angular technologies, with an emphasis on modern frameworks and relational database management. The developer will work onsite 2-3 days a week, collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and code using Java and Angular frameworks.
- Develop and maintain web-based software applications.
- Collaborate with team members to implement software solutions.
- Utilize Agile SDLC best practices in development processes.
- Manage code using Azure DevOps or similar tools for CI/CD pipeline.
- Conduct software design, development, and testing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in IT, specifically with Java and Angular.
- Proficiency in Java, J2EE architecture, JSP, Servlets, JDBC.
- Experience with PL/SQL and MSSQL programming.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, particularly Angular.
- Familiarity with Eclipse and Tomcat environments.
- Experience with Agile SDLC best practices.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar for code management and CI/CD.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with .Net and C# is a huge plus.
- Familiarity with relational database design and development with Oracle and MSSQL.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
