About The Position

The Jarvis Blade Sharpener role requires basic knowledge of general maintenance, Jarvis equipment operation, including but not limited to; air knives, scribe saws, brisket saw, and wizard knives.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to learn mechanical systems and food manufacturing processes.
Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to read and execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.
Read, write, and orally communicate in English and ability to work with no or little supervision.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

Follow all company GMPs, safety policies and procedures.
Setup and visually inspect and tests Jarvis machinery and equipment and tear down.
Sharpen Jarvis & Bettcher blades.
Listen for unusual sounds from Jarvis machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss. machine operation variations with supervisors or other personnel to diagnose problems or repair equipment.
Replace blades for Jarvis equipment on the floor during production.
Responding to radio calls from production teams for assistance.
Dismantle defective Jarvis machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings gears, and other parts of Jarvis machinery.
