About The Position

The HR & GA Administrator is responsible for supporting various HR and General Affairs administrative activities, managing daily functions of the HR department, including hiring, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role requires proficiency in both English and Japanese, as it involves assisting Japanese expatriates and maintaining compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

  • Degree in business or related field preferred; or 2+ years of Human Resources related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Superior English and Japanese language skills preferred.

  • Experience in human resources (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments.
  • Facilitate the performance review process, providing guidance and tools for supervisors and employees.
  • Organize and implement the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and benefit explanations.
  • Oversee the SharePoint server infrastructure and user access.
  • Assist in maintaining the HRIS by updating confidential personnel information and processing personnel actions.
  • Run and audit various HRIS reports.
  • Recruit and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborating with departmental managers.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Administer human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave management.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries and maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in human resources and employment law.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records.
  • Assist with payroll functions and act as a liaison with external benefits providers.
  • Plan and execute special events such as benefits enrollment and employee recognition events.
  • Maintain complete and confidential files on each employee.
  • Process and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities.
  • Assist with office supply purchases and coordination.
  • Participate in special projects to improve HR processes and systems.
  • Answer the company's general line and forward calls as needed.
