About The Position

We are seeking a meticulous and driven Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate should have 5 - 10 years of month-end and year-end close processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or can be substituted with experience
  • Over 10 years in Accounting, preferably in manufacturing or food industries but not required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. The company does not provide visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • 5-10 years month-end and year-end close processes
  • Japanese and English fluency (speaking, writing, and reading)
  • Understanding of GAAP is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and effectively collaborate with other employees from different departments
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Great management and supervisory skills
  • Capability to adapt within a fast-changing environment and to be flexible as needed
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task within a fast-paced working environment
  • Proficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel is mandatory
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • CPA is a plus but not required
  • JSOX understanding is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare Quarterly Sales Review Reports for customer
  • Supervise and lead Accounting team
  • Review and approve AP & AR functions along with payments
  • Audit daily and weekly sales and labor reports
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company procedures
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
  • Support audits by providing necessary information and documentation
  • Coordinate the preparation of corporate tax return and work with the assigned firm
  • Collaborate with Accounting team members to assist Finance Director
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records and documentation
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements
  • Other duties/projects assigned by management
