About The Position

Founded by Burt Rutan in 1982, Scaled Composites has been in the business of Designing, Building, and Flying unique airplanes (and occasionally spacecraft) for now over 40+ years. From the farthest (Global Flyer), to the largest (Stratolaunch), to the highest (SpaceShipOne, Proteus), and many in between, Scaled’s track record of innovation has pushed against and expanded some of the most stubborn corners of the flight envelope. The Janitor will perform cleaning duties for various buildings throughout the organization and fill other miscellaneous duties as assigned which fall under a reasonable scope of responsibility. The Janitor may be required to operate company vehicles and equipment to perform regular tasks.

Good time management skills.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed and/or outlined in MSDS.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and willingness to learn new products and processes.

Responsibilities

Cleaning office spaces, furniture, stairs, windows, window sills, break rooms, restrooms, floors, shop areas, and other common areas as assigned
Emptying, re-lining and cleaning all trash receptacles as necessary
Organizing and maintaining supply closets and tools as necessary
Working with chemicals, tools and machinery according to Scaled’s safety standards
Repetitive cleaning and sanitizing all high touch surfaces and areas
Restocking supplies and consumables, making coffee and sanitizing coffee stations
Maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas
