About The Position
Penn State Behrend is searching for a full time Janitorial Worker to join their team. Duties include collecting waste from work area; washing chalkboards; gathering dirty erasers and supplying clean erasers. Additional responsibilities include dusting, dust mopping floors, wet mopping floors, spot cleaning and vacuuming rugs, runners, etc.; rotating runners and cleaning stairways. The worker will also wash glass, mirrors, light fixtures, wainscoting, railings, toilet fixtures, etc.; clean restrooms and stock dispensers, as well as wash and polish furniture, brass, etc. The position requires maintaining equipment and materials used to perform work in a clean and orderly condition, locking doors, closing and locking windows, and turning out lights. The worker will report needed repairs to the Supervisor.
