Janitorial Technician
About The Position
This Janitorial Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of Matheny Motors facilities, including bathrooms, showroom floors, offices, and garage bays. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, moping, or vacuuming floors throughout the building. The role also involves dusting ledges, windowsills, and railings, maintaining cleanliness in garage areas, and spot-cleaning as needed. Responsibilities include emptying trash, restocking supplies in restrooms and break areas, and keeping janitorial closets organized. The employees will also help maintain the facility grounds by picking up litter.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain appearance of bathrooms regularly
- Wipe down sinks, mirrors, toilets,wash stations, and other surfaces
- Clean and maintain the appearance of showroom floors
- Sweep and mop floors
- Ensure wet floor signs are present and visible when floors in the facility are wet or damp
- Clean and wipe down windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces
- Disinfect surfaces (Tables, Chairs, Doors, counters,desks,door handles,etc.)
- Dust and clean ledges, railings,windowsills,garage doors, etc.
- Clean and maintain floors and stairs in garage bays and other parts of the shop
- Collect and remove trash from facility
- Spot clean areas as needed
- Vacuum and sweep floors in hallways and offices
- Maintain grounds (trash pickup etc.)
- Maintain supply rooms
- Restock supplies in restrooms, breakrooms, customer lounge,and anywhere else that need supplies.
- Weekly and monthly safety checks
- Shuttle drivers to and from hotels
- Parts runner for shop
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and overall office function.
